Annette Claudio
Committee Chair, Social Media & Group Communications
Annette is a Senior Region Director of Operations with Ameriprise Financial, leading business operations for 400 advisors and 165 staff members across the southeastern US. She holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation. Annette has been a volunteer with Honor Flight South Florida since accompanying her father, a WWII veteran, to Washington DC with HFSF in April 2015. Touched by that trip, she committed to helping others experience the life-changing day she and her father had the opportunity to share.
Since her father’s flight in 2015, volunteering with HFSF has been a family affair. Together with her husband Marcus, and on occasion her WWII father Mike and mother Carmen, Annette has been an avid volunteer, serving in any capacity needed – including tabling and fundraising events, veteran recruiting, Virtual Honor Flight, mail call, Flight Day Ground Crew, twice a guardian and now a familiar face among the Flight Day staff. She has been a content contributor to HFSF’s Facebook page since 2016. In 2017, as Flight Staff, Annette and Marcus experimented with documenting Flight Day on HFSF’s social media pages, with photos and live video interviews from throughout the trip to Washington D.C. The popularity of this feature cemented Flight Day Social Media ‘live’ coverage as a standard for HFSF. Since then, Annette has also deepened her volunteerism, including photography and hub communications, as well as an elevated role leading HFSF’s social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram.
Annette shares some perspective, “It’s an Honor and Privilege to serve our nation’s eldest heroes. To be a small part of the recognition and appreciation they experience through an Honor Flight day is a reward like no other.”
